Universal Capture

Universal Capture captures documents already stored on your computer or network drive; it can be configured to capture image or electronic files.

Common uses of Universal Capture include:

• Use any scanner or scanning software you like to scan the images and still process them in Quick Fields.
• Process images you have scanned in the past and have saved to a computer or network drive.
• Process images you have printed with Snapshot and saved to a computer or network drive.
• Process electronic files saved on a computer or network drive.

Note: Universal Capture cannot capture an electronic document and its associated image simultaneously; for that purpose, use Laserfiche Capture Engine.
